Schmalz is the international market leader in the field of automation with vacuum and ergonomic handling systems. The company's products are used in logistics, as well as in the automotive, electronics and furniture industries. Schmalz provides a wide range of services in the field of vacuum automation and includes individual components: vacuum cups, vacuum generators, complete gripping systems and fixtures for holding workpieces, for example on CNC machining centers. In the field of material handling, Schmalz provides innovative solutions for industry and trade with vacuum lifters and crane systems.

The IITB Innovation Center presents Schmalz products for educational programs in robotics and the implementation of Industry 4.0, as well as for scientific research.

On the basis of IITB programs on industrial and collaborative robotics, industrial safety, digital technologies, etc. are being implemented. These educational programs are aimed at improving the skills of company employees and university students.
